Mr & Mrs Watson 8th August 2015

Where do I start?  I have been staring at my computer for thirty minutes thinking about what to write as there is so much I can mention: The handmade details, made by Melisah and her family. Mike’s wedding shoes and the hilarious backstory. The venue and it's incredible staff! Not to mention all the guests who really did make it a joy to shoot.  What a relaxed day full of laughter, gorgeous weather and one of the funniest days shooting I have had in a long time.

After pulling up to the venue Berny drove the wrong way and nearly dropped Mel right outside the window where all the guests and Mike were waiting!! Priceless moment.

The highlight of the day for me were the laid back speeches.  Melisah’s Dad Berny delivered a rather moving speech, accompanied by a film of Mel growing up which was incredibly touching.

Mike’s brother Mark delivered an insightful and hilarious best man’s speech.  Ben (Mel’s brother) wished he had put his phone on silent and he was correctly shot down in a brilliant fashion. (His face was a picture!)

To fill you all in on Mike's shoes.  Grooms out there its honestly ok to leave buying your wedding shoes till the week before the wedding (honest).  Just ask Mike!  He grabbed a right bargain from Hugo Boss one week before the wedding and managed to get the shoes he wanted all along, much to Mel's amusement.

Oh and before I forget, don't and I mean don't attempt to break dance in a Gieves & Hawkes suit, we had the groom split his trousers, a ripped waistcoat/jacket and nearly a whole bottle of red wine all over a crisp white shirt.  It was only the week before over a drink that we were talking about how Mike goes through trousers!  So funny.

A big thank you to Mel and Mike for letting me be part of your wedding day.  You made myself and Lucy Clara Cooper feel so welcome.  We had a great time and are so happy that you love your photos!
